Knowing Gottfried Landwehr for several years I was deeply shaken when I learned he passed away. With him the world has lost more than an outstanding researcher who was well grounded until his last day. I will keep him in my memory as a brilliant mind belonging to a very kind person with leadership qualities who always cared about his staff and the entire faculty.
My thoughts are with you and your family.
