Back from Brazil

Tobias and Fabian attended the 32^nd annual International Laser Physics Workshop (LPHYS'24) from July 3 to July 9 in São Carlos, Brazil. They were invited by Adriana’s friend Olga Kocharovskaya to present their work at the conference. Tobias gave his talk “Excitation Schemes for the Nuclear Clock Candidate ²²⁹Th” and Fabian reported on “Non-Hermitian Effects in Thin Film X-Ray Cavities: Exceptional Points”. The audience was interested in their research and some inquiries were made. Over the weekend, the two PhD students participated in guided tours and climbed the mountain Morro do Cuscuzeiro.
