Research Focus: Energy Research
This research area focuses on fundamental questions related to renewable energy harvesting and its rational use. In particularly, Experimental Physics 6 (EP6) deals with spectroscopy and device physics of novel organic and inorganic semiconductors for applications in the fields of photovoltaics, light emitting diodes and thermoelectrics. We closely cooperate with the Center for Applied Energy Research (CAE) in Würzburg, serving as link between fundamental energy research and its real-world application.
