The idea that under some circumstances electronic transport is dominated by electron-electron momentum conserving was introduced more than 50 years ago by Gurzhi.
Recent advances in in production of very pure materials allowed to conduct systematic study of that, previously rather unexplored, electronic transport regime.
Among many novel features that are present in viscous electronics one that is particularly pronounce is the strong mesoscopic dependence of transport properties. As I will show (using for example AC conductivity) these should provide for experimental access to some microscopic parameters of the theory. I will also present some new results concerning the crucial issue of boundary conditions for the electronic flow, including proposals on engineering boundary conditions and measuring the boundary slip-length.
